For Listeners: DISCOVERING the MUSIC of BACH - SANTA FE

  • Muñoz Waxman Gallery at CCA 1050 Old Pecos Trail Santa Fe, NM, 87505 United States (map)

SANTA FE, NM: Join conductor and educator Oliver Prezant and violinist extraordinaire Stephen Redfield for an in-depth exploration of two movements from Bach’s celebrated Sonatas and Partitas for Violin Solo. During the program, Oliver will give you an accessible, insider’s view of the way in which Bach weaves a rich musical tapestry on a single instrument. Stephen will play musical excerpts and share insights about performing these iconic pieces on the violin.

In addition, you’ll be invited to share your feelings and impressions of the music with the performers and with others in the audience, as you develop a relationship with the music. At the end of the program, we’ll hear the music we’ve explored in its entirety, with time to reflect on the experience.

Purchasing tickets in advance is recommended.
