Discovering the Music of Bach and Vivaldi

with conductor and educator Oliver Prezant, featuring violinists Cármelo de los Santos and Elizabeth Young and a supporting chamber ensemble

SANTA FE, NM: Join conductor Oliver Prezant, violinists Cármelo de los Santos and Elizabeth Young, and a supporting chamber ensemble of friends and colleagues for an in-depth exploration of music by Bach and Vivaldi. During the program, we’ll compare and contrast the first movement of Vivaldi’s Concerto for Two Violins in A Minor and the first movement of Bach’s concerto for Two Violins in D minor. It’s a rare opportunity to get inside the music of these two giants of the Baroque while exploring the relationships between the performers, the audience, and the music. In addition, audience members will have a chance to share their feelings and impressions with one another and the musicians as we prepare to hear the two selections played in their entirety at the end of the program.

General Admission: $25 / Students with ID: $10
Free for Santa Fe and Albuquerque Public School teachers.
