EXCLUSIVE EVENT FOR QUAIL RUN RESIDENTS:

THURSDAY, JUNE 4, 4-5:30

The ABCs of Conducting
with
Oliver Prezant

Join conductor and arts educator Oliver Prezant for a closer look at how one person with a little wooden stick can inspire a hundred people to make music together with precision, intensity, and expression.

What does a conductor do? What does it feel like to conduct, and to follow a conductor? What goes into preparing a score, and how do conductors learn their craft?

During the presentation we'll explore the elements of conducting in a way that is experiential, accessible, and informative. We’ll also look at how some of the great conductors of the past defined the art of conducting and how the role of the conductor has changed over the years.
